"Street Fashion"

I was driving around looking for something to fill the SI "Street" mandate
when I spotted this chap walking along the sidewalk. I stopped my vehicle
and asked him if I could take a photo. He was delighted. According to what
he told me, he'd been up most of the night taking those silver studs off of
an old belt and putting them on his jacket. It was his first time wearing
the jacket in public and here I was asking to take his photo as a example of
"street fashion". He seemed to love it. He really got into the "posing"
thing. His expressions and stances for the various shots were all his own
idea and priceless. The half-scowl on his face in this image was his idea of
looking street-wise I think. He even took that cigarette out of his pocket
and put it in his mouth for effect. It's not lit. BTW, for any SI
'purists', he was standing on the pavement, within the intersection of
Plymouth Rd. and Duckworth St., St. John's, Newfoundland, when I took the
photo. ;)
