Cormorants are taking over this rookery, unfortunately. As a result, the site, which was lush green 2 years ago, is nearly all brown, trees are all dead, and I bet in 2 years there will be no nests on the island any more. Their waste is much more caustic/noxious than other waders and they denude/kill rookeries really fast.
