Oh, this works soooo good... Now, the sky I assume was a very deep blue, but in your BW conversion you've made it quite pale. You could go into the Blue channel in PS and minimize that and make the sky really dark which would bring out all those really graphic spikes really well. Either play with channels, or the black and white layer ion PS
