Sydney red dust storm September 2009

A red dust storm descended on Sydney, Australia carried by gale force winds which dumped a layer of red top soil from western New South Wales which is still in the grip of a drought. It is suggested that 4,000 tonnes of topsoil landed on the city. These images were taken just after dawn on the northern beaches of Sydney where we live. No saturation in post processing..what you see is what I got!
