Sydney Harbour storm

A storm swept over Sydney Harbour about an hour before sunset. I took these from the jetcat ferry which was travelling at quite a speed so I was lucky to get good shots. I believe these clouds are known as mammary or mammatis clouds.

Wonderful Photos - | happened to be on the same Jetcat as you leaving Circular Quay to Manly - It was quite a storm - that the Jetcat just got into Manly on time before the torrential rain poured down - I miss Manly - I lived for 5 year high up on Darley Road at the corner of Marshall Street and walked down to the Ferry early in the morning to work in the CBD Near Town Hall Station. Sydney is a beautiful small city with equally beautiful suberbs to the North. I hope one day to return to Sydney.

Hi Mike

Thanks for your kind comments. Forget the G3 and go buy a D60 - you'll save in the end. I bought the D60 three months ago (after having a G2 for four months) and have never looked back.

Sheila, I am very glad I found your site. You have incredible pics and I enjoyed visiting. Keep up the "GREAT" work. I hope to purchase either a G-3 or a D-60 soon.

Thanks. I carry my G2 everywhere I go which is just as well as I would never have taken these shots. I also have an Ixus but the G2 is much better and I highly recommend it. Mind you, I would dearly love a D60!

Sheila, I was driving home from the City to the Northern Beaches just as the sky started to darken & the lightning started. I wished that I had a camera with me at the time, so thanks for these pics!!!! :)

PS: I'm thinking of buying a G2 and it's great to see your pics!
