26 March: Repair System

I'd got a small stone chip in my car's bonnet and the guy who plied his trade in the supermarket car park deemed it too small for him to do!
So a trip to Halfords to buy this grandly named Stone Chip and Scratch Repair System.
I did what it said: scratched the little bit of rust away with the special tool and then, over the next few days, proceeded to give it two coats of primer, two coats of paint and a coat of finish.
I don't know what gave me the idea no-one would notice this bit of work when I'd finished but it seems to be holding up even though it now looks as though the chip was bigger than it initially was!

Nikon D200 ,Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro
1/400s f/3.2 at 105.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I love those things that are supposed to make it all brand new again no matter what the problem.HA!!! Pity we can't use photoshop for EVERYTHING as it hides multitudes of sins :0)

Looks and sounds very complex, well done for doing it, I would not have a go at that. Great idea for an image also.

I'm impressed! With the picture (I had no idea what it was when I opened it but I knew it looked good), and with your car repair skills. I know that I wouldnt have been confident attempting this.

I thought it was something medical at first - suppose it is is you're a car :)
