Ball Street Bridge

Sheffield

This is the River Don which burst its banks in June 2007 causing flooding and destruction.
This photograph was taken 15 months later and shows how long the clear up took.
The tree branches which were swept down the river, together with other debris, can be seen to the right, now cut into logs ready for removal.

One of those awesome forces of nature...and look at it here, so calm and peaceful...so tranquil.
Great shot Sheena.

Lovely to see the blue sky and wonderful reflection.
With a poignant reminder of the floods - thinking of the suffering it caused.

Gosh ... Has there been flooding there's a lot of timber about? Lovely reflections and a very elegant bridge.
