What a great little gift and addtion to my vignette at my side door. This little whimsical place always cheers me up to look at it. It is where things seem to land as I come in the door. All cleaned up for photos though.
Oh how I love this town. The beauty I see as I head in and out of town for the day. I never know if I will see a fluffy, soft, blanket of clouds sitting down in there. Some times it is a grey mist with 6 or 7 hot air balloons floating at different heights and distances across the valley floor. Or at night with the bright vibrant city lights twinkling all around. See you later my little home town.
My original wedding ring that now fits on my little finger instead of my ring finger. It is on the same perfume bottle that I received it on for my 18th Birthday sooooo many years ago. This photo is a tribute to my kids and their daddy. What a wonderful, beautiful part of my life.
What a nice surprise from my honey. Went to meet him for breakfast and he had these beautiful flowers waiting for me. Beautiful, sunny, happy bouquet!
I went right home from my birthday celebration, lit this wonderful lantern and took a photo. Now to take some time to light it sit on the patio and realllly enjoy it and drink a "Cup of Joe" as the girls said.
Yesterday, as I took my Grandson to school, he wanted to know what I was going to do "today". Conner always wants to know that. I told him I was going out to lunch with Uncle Art for my Birthday. "Oh", he exclaimed, "I didn't know it was your birthday!" When I got to dinner that night with the kids he was there hiding under the dining room table working very hard on something. After overcoming many obstacles I was presented with this wonderful gift. Definitely made with love and knowledge of Grandma's needs.
Thanks, my little builder man.
Just as I snapped the photo htis guy flew away. Ordinarily a throw away but there was something about this one that was appealing to me. Maybe just those cute little feet. I don't know. Rainy day fun!
This photo was taken may years ago right after their wedding. The photo was old, faded and yellowed and I just wanted to play and see what I could do with it. I tried a hand colored effect and a black and white version. This was my favorite.
Interesting when your "baby" brother is 50 something. First time in years that we have been able to spend so much time together. I am really enjoying his company and he has been so helpful around here. We are just taking a coffee break. He says, " Oh really, are you going to take a photo of this?"
Poor little bunny. There is a storm coming and he is caught in the drain. Thank goodness for Buddy the persistent barking dog who we could NOT ignore. We finally got all the dogs into the house, left a piece of screen tethered to a flower pot and hoped for a speedy escape.
Why would I need a spot on the bed??? I am up all hours of the night editing photos while dogs get cozy and watch television.
Grandma's little guy loves to see what toys she has in her garage. He had so much fun sitting in the driver's seat of poppa's '39 ford hot rod. One day he will be ready to drive. It will probably be before we know it!
