Fun With the New Lens Zuiko 50-200mm

These are just from trying out the new lens I just got today 6-20-07, I also got the EC14 but I will try it out later. I want to play with the lens first.

Well, having played around with the lens and the EC14 for the past 10 days I will say, the lens is magic and I'm very pleased with it. It's taking some getting used to but all in all it is a big improvement. The verdict is still out on the EC14. I don't like the bokeh nearly as much when I have it attached and for some reason, even though it doesn't weigh hardly anything, I seem to have a hard time wielding the combo around. Mind you, all these shots are hand held. I don't regret buying either lens or teleconverter. Next on my list of lenses is the 11-22mm I think, or the 14-54mm. For now, I am just still having fun!!!

Shirley, thanks again for sharing!!! I think the teleconverter passed the test... And you're right, a bright sunny day will help things a lot! But even on a dark gloomy day, the pics still look sharp and clear.. I'm sure a tripod would also help on a day like this... But you shouldn't have any problems when more is available... Thanks so much!!!

Thanks Laura! Well from Milo's picture on, are shots taken with the EC14 1.4x Teleconverter attached. It wasn't a fair trial run because it was very dark and gloomy today and a breeze. That meant higher ISO use and that extra reach also called for higher shutter speeds too. Not sure how I feel about it but I think a good sunny day will help things a lot!
