Shimla

Shimla, AKA Simla, was used as the summer HQ of the British government in India for many years. It's perched on the steep slopes of a hill in Himachal Pradesh, at around 2000 metres altitude. The place has kept a lot of its charm. It's a lot cleaner than your average Indian town, and moustachioed gentlemen in tweeds greet each other along the pedestrianized Mall with firm handshakes.

Some of my photos are now available to buy in a variety of sizes and finishes, or as digital files, at Serenity Photography.
