I'm very sorry, but I only visited the place once, in 2003, so am unable to answer your first question. As to the second, as far as I remember you can get right up to the edge...but you had better double check on that - sorry!

I am glad you like my photos, and wish you luck in writing your short story.

Regards,

Serena.

Hi,1) My name is Beuno Rautenbach from Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm in the first place very impressed with your beautiful photographs. 2) I will appreciate it if you could give me some information Table Mountain. The reason is I'm writing a short short story snd the action takes mainly place on Table Mountain. You seem to be very knowledgable about Table Mountain, so I will trust your knowledge!I have been on Table Mountain in the past, but there are two pieces of info which will enhance my story if they were 100% correct and at the moment I'm just guessing! a) The story takes place in 1993. Do you know if the old cable cars were still in use that year and can you remember how frequently the day trips were? Every half hour, hour, hour and a half, two hours? b) The front precipice closest to the restaurant: - Is one allowed to walk close to the precipice and enjoy the view of Cape Town from there. I presume one will see the Peninsula, Tamboerskloof and the city centre well from there. Thanks for your time.
