Lafreniere Park Swans

Following Hurricane Katrina two swans of the Park were killed by a dog and by a truck. The two remaining swans were males. In February, 2006, the Park acquired two female swans from Baton Rouge. Two of the swans paired off and babies were born on May 6.

Beautiful pictures. Why doesn't someone write the story of the settlement of the German coast off Frieneir beach at a little settlement of Napton.. I worked on an interview with an elderly lady from Monttz that survived the 1900 hurricane that
demolished Frienier. The elderly lady later gave the story to the local paper
the"lobsteur" Very interesting story. There is also a remaining cementary im the swamps between Frenier and Napton. Just thinking old times.
