City Park has four golf courses and held world class golf tournaments.
The floodwaters of broken levees after Katrina flooded the clubhouse with about six feet of water that stayed for three weeks. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers' lack of securing the levees caused this damage yet they hold no liability for their actions.
There has been no golf at City Park since August 27, 2005. However, the tennis courts have been repaired and have been opened for play since early 2006.
