A Well Decorated FEMA Trailer

My friend and fellow tree preservationist is living in a FEMA trailer in her front yard while her house is being restored. Eight feet of water sat in the house for almost three weeks. She left her house in a flatboat from the balcony of the second story.
She is an interior designer so it does not surprise me that she has spruced up her trailer and planted flowers to brighten up the area. I particularly love the basket with the Easter eggs. She has not thought to put shutters on the windows--yet.
There are very few people currently living in this area of Metairie.

No amount of money will make up for the losses & stresses but it will certainly help, they just need to do it faster. In the meantime I admire her effort to restore some normality into her situation.

I like her spirit... the difference between an ordeal and an adventure is attitude.

She has made the best of a shocking situation.
Hope they were well insured.
