I was sincerely hoping that this man would be an entity to unite the City of my birth along with its natives. His neighborhood, ironically, is within walking distance from where I was raised in The Lafitte Housing Projects, not to mention I attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School & Church.

This appears to be my year for disappointment as well (smile) ...guess it's just coincedence that C. Ray bears a striking resemblance to my Ex...

In any event, this is an excellent photo of the man whom I will, from here on out moniker as: The Egomaniacally Self-Absorbed. Oh Yeah..

He has suffered from "foot in mouth" disease from time to time :)

I was an air traffic controller for 38 years.
So I know something about stressful jobs.
After the water began to rise, this guy had the most stressful job I have ever seen.
For surviving that, I salute him.

I can't say that I have much respect for the man, but then I only know him thru the media . . . .

Very nice shot. Well lit and great details, and I think I agree with Gayle. -BJ

Looks like he kept his foot on the ground this time :) Nice shot! He does look quite charming.

Remind me to tell you a funny story about Marc and the Mayor sometime.

He looks as handsome and charming as always. I just wish he'd think first and speak later.

Good to see something positive - but there must be some fears as the new season approaches?
