Hurricane Rita really ripped the flags to pieces. They are flying at half staff in respect for the people who lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina.

Very powerful image! They may be tattered, but they are flying proud and will not be defeated!!! Symbolic of the many courageous people along the Gulf!
