Started off on my three hour quest for the red winged blackbird in the Bonnet Carre' Spillway. Unfortunately, field trials for dogs were going on and everytime I focused in on one of those quick little birds either a gun or a dog would go off.
So, I went to my own fields in Montz. I could hear the blackbirds sound, clicking all around me, and everytime I focused on one a rabbit jumped or the wind blew or I blew it.
So, I'll go with this beautiful black lab (who was poised for the gun to go off) instead and perhaps my blackeyed susans in my field. Another beautiful dog can be seen at http://www.pbase.com/image/43072554. The man who owned him was someone with a great lust for life.
And, I also got a fabulous shot of a daylily in my Montz garden at http://www.pbase.com/image/43073188. And, I could go on with several other links of today--everything but my redwinged blackbird.
