River Very Low Compared to 2009

Bonnie Carre' Spillway Batture

The Mississippi River, at far left, is very low in its banks compared to November of 2009 at http://www.pbase.com/image/119615351. The area has had very little rainfall since May and the farmers are suffering from the drought.
The low stage of the River has given the Corps of Engineers time to repair the Spillway structure.

Weather wise, things seem to be messed up all over this year.

Nothing seems to work as it should in all of the places...our drought ended, yours began.
