I did my first trip to sea on the Suevic in October 1963 as 10th engineer which involved looking after 2 water tube boilers and doing genny watches while in port, I remember that when in port the least time we spent in port was 2 weeks and the most was 3 weeks as in those days every thing was hand balled. The company name was Shaw Savil and Albion, abreviated S.S.A. which we renamed sure starvation and agoney as that was the quality and quantity of the food given to us. I do process some cine film of part of this trip as I purchased a camera at Steamer Point, Aden on the trip back.
