Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver, BC - sadly it is not fall colour , but pine beetles that are slowly destroying this grand old tree and given it this distinctive colour

Indeed sad to hear about the pine beetle destroying this once glorious tree. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a brightly colored tree. It must have been beautiful in it's heyday. V

potent and poignant...yes this tree is toast...the mountain pine beetle has been devastating in recent years..
