Grand Central Terminal officially opened on February 2, 1913.
Built to replace the old Grand Central Station 1899 - 1903.
This is the famous Main Concourse 275 feet long, 120 feet wide and 125 feet high.
The station has 69 tracks the most of any RR station in the world.
During the early 1960s there were plans to demolish the structure.
Public opinion won out and it is now a major tourist attraction as well as a RR station.
