Layers of Train Trestle

This photo was taken on a bridge over train tracks. There are very few wooden bridges that I know of in Southern WI. This one was discovered by myself only because there was a detour on the main highway. After going about 20mph too fast over this BUMPY wooden bridge, I pulled over to make sure nothing had fallen off my Jeep and to take some photos of this anomaly.

This is a picture of the wooden railing dividing the railroad tracks 45 feet below and the wooden decking on the bridge itself. The white pile in the shadows consists of gravel from prior construction on the roadway.
