Macro Magic

All but the last shot in this gallery were taken using the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro non-USM. The Canon MT-24EX was used for the lighting for the butterflies. The flowers were shot in ambient light. The last shot was taken with the Canon 17-40 f4L, just to see if it can do close-up stuff. It apparently can. Comments and critiques always welcome. ~ jim

Wonderful shots, excellent depth of field. These are just the kind of photos that I like to make myself..I will be back here to look for more updates. You made my day!!!

Hi Jim! Wonderful selection of images.The Dandelion shots, and the Iris (0334.jpg) are very nice...and the DOF you've achieved in these shot is superb! And the rose shot is quite beautiful as well!
