Lunar Eclipse

San Diego, CA

So I was shooting away as the moon was getting more and more orange, and so excited to be
getting my first moon shots, and of an eclipse. It wasn't until it was getting lighter and the
moon was disappearing into the haze at the coast, that I realized my ISO was set at 1600!!
I hate when that happens! Wanted to share the event with you anyway, since it was pretty cool.
TWO MORE SHOTS in this gallery.

Very nice. What lens & setting did you use for this?

Nicely captured, Sandi. Your sky was much darker than mine --- and you were able to capture more of the totality than we were able to because of us being further east of you.

Very cool capture.

Lovely capture. The eclipse needs a high iso as its quite dark in totality. The moon will move relatively fast at this enormas magnification also so long shutter speeds over 10sec cause blurring.

Wow ~ You were so lucky to see the lunar eclipse! We didn't see it here on the east coast... V
