Here's a few images of the transit of Venus, from White Rock, NM. The pictures were
taken with a Canon 1D MkIII camera using an 8" Celestron telescope, using an aluminized
Mylar Solar filter. There are a few pictures around second contact, and one later during the transit.
At this location, the sun set before the transit was complete.
The solar filter gives a bluish cast to the original images, which I then white-balanced on the
sun's disk midway through the observation. The later images become redder
because the sun is setting, and we have haze from a nearby forest fire hanging near the horizon.
