Visible scars of the invisible war waged within. Some demons are tougher to fight than others and the resulting marks are with us far longer than we may want - the rose you hold may wither with the fight, but I sense you have the resilience to keep on.

It's easy to forget when I look at some of your images, what you have been through. You clearly, can not...I guess that is what scars are for, a reminder of the healing process..maybe a hope that the cause won't be repeated. You don't show much here, but you show me enough. K
May your scars heal and disappear, Ruthie. This image could be seen as a farewell to what has gone before, and a metaphor for the strength and control you have acquired through such adversity. May your future be bright, my friend!
