I just saw an image something like this one in Alister Benn's gallery athttp://www.pbase.com/alibenn/image/53631970 I said it reminded me of Bresson or Kertesz, because of their (and his) ability to create enormous tension at the focal point of the image. I think you will agree it is a masterful image. In many ways, this image amplifies Alister's brilliant piece by orchestrating the release of tension not just once but four times in a single image. It speaks of Vietnam as well as any image I've seen, and the golden context you gives it only enhances it.
