November 10: The 20D and I take a trip back into the past

Laguna Beach, CA

We (my little camera and I) drove 60 miles up the California coast to famous Laguna Beach for lunch with Cousin Betty. Standing on the cliff overlooking the old hotel and the bay, I felt like I was taken into the past by fifty years. The 20D has a black & white / sepia switch so I grabbed this shot along with an identical color one. * Which version do you prefer?

Looks good in sepia, and nice touch with the white photo holder corners. I just love Laguna Beach, just not in the summer time.

Very nice shot! I kinda like the sepia toning the 20d gives. Pretty cool!

Robin, for a memory photo this one is great.

Yeah, this does magically transport one back. Sure like the sweeping sea. BTW, 50 years is NOT that long ago :)
Also, thanks for the laugh.

I usually prefer color, but this time I prefer this one Robin.... more atmosphere. Goes well with the creative framing.

I really prefer this one, but me being me, I would! That's an interesting feauture on your new toy. Perhaps with the 30D you'll be able to add scratches, tears and black spots too ;->

I like both shots but, maybe an old timey frame for the sepia image. Just a suggestion..:-) It's a very nice image Robin.
