Today completes five years of PaDing. This elegant but slightly tarnished award captures my thoughts about this incredible adventure. I have grown immeasurably from the experience. The key elements for me are:

Having to take a picture each day (mostly) … I mean how many people do that?

Often reshooting when the first effort falls flat. Sometimes punting and trying to fix things in Photoshop.

Making the choice of which is the better of the images available. Being clear about why pick this one.

Eagerly receiving comments from all of you around the world. The net learning from your insights and views and reactions teaches me a lot.

Not getting any comments is also strong feedback ;-(

Discovering that it is possible to make real friendships with like-minded souls who share this passion together.

Loving the chance to meet PaDers in person, and hoping to do more of that in the future.

Finally … learning a great deal about photography from viewing your work as well as mine.
