To me, it looks as if the leaves are trapped in layers of ice. Nicely done.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or so I have been told.

So often I gathered fall leaves, some brown like these, and sandwiched them between two large rectangles of wax paper and sealed them shut with a warm iron and hung them with tacks on my wall, or used them as place mats. These images recall that childhood art craft that brought me pleasure. Strange how the tiny ice bubbles suggest the decomposition of the wax by the searing hot iron.
