So much going on here. Great detailed view of the textures and a nice range of tones. V

I find this so sensually moving...the separation, the curling of the bark, the wildly drawn shadow, so ragged, suggesting that the bark was wrenched by violent force, and the hieroglyphic markings on the bare smooth wood as well as the sand papery texture of the bark itself. It is tactile heaven.
