In the Northeast corner of Eleuthera, there is a rugged coastline known as the Devil's Backbone. Sometime back in the 18th century a ship filled with Eleautheran Adventurers, from Europe, shipwrecked on the unforgiving reefs of the Devil's Backbone. They took up refuge in a nearby cave. For one hundred years thereafter their decendants held church services in that cave. It soon became known as the Preacher's Cave. |
