Wedged into a deep sandstone gorge on the Colorado River, Glen Canyon Dam was completed in 1963 at Page, Arizona. It is responsible for forming Lake Powell. https://pbase.com/ronhrl/return_to_lake_powell
It is the second highest concrete arch dam in the U.S. Just downstream from the dam is an arch bridge that carries U.S. Route 89.
