3 Apr... Not something you see every day..

This is why I carry a camera to work every day - I never know what I'm going to find when I pop out of the office for lunch !

Today I met Gail Davison for a sandwich at the cafe in St James' Park, only to find this Harrier parked on Horseguards Parade, along with sundry RAF top brass, members of the RAF Falcons parachute display team, and a racing car team (huh ?). Official photographers and camera crew also in attendance, obviously waiting for something to kick off, but unfortunately I had to get back to work and couldn't stay around to watch.

WOW! Certainly an unusual sight! Definitely worth keeping a camera on your person at all times!

Interesting. Horseguards often hosted famous aircraft such as the Spitfire, Hurricane and a number of German types during the forties and fifties, usually on Battle of Britain weekend. Impressive, but I suspect this particular Harrier lacks an engine ;-)

Cool. My favorite kind of aircraft is the Harrier. I used to love to watch them in action at air shows!

What a delightful find.
I try to carry my little F30 with me everywhere I go.

Totally agree with the title - would sure scare the pigeons if they started it up!

Well done on a scoop, Rose! Just shows you should carry a camera at all times. V
