The larger flowered pansies are usually easily recognisable by the place where they grow. In distrurbed soils and arable land it is most often Viola tricolor.
On zinc poluted soil in the south of the Netherlands you could have found the rare Viola lutea subsp. calaminaria
And on sandy coastal dunes it is most likely that you have found the Viola curtisii
