I was taking bird pics all morning during the snow storm. I had just removed the CF cards from the 1DMk2 and the 30D. I looked out the window a few minutes later and saw a.....hawk!!!! He was about 8' away. Oh no! No cameras....grabbed the Sony....took a zillion pics....slowly opened the window to take more....ran back into the living room to grab the 10D....took a few with the 17-40.....ran back to grab the 70-200.....took more pics. Finally climbed on top of the toilet seat to hang out the window. This guy was NOT going to let me interrupt his meal. Several birds flew over and landed in the lilac bush right near the hawk. I watched him for at least 10 minutes before he flew away with what was left of the bird.
