MonkPuzzBlackandWhitePBase.jpg

Here is the next stage I wanted to do to to this shot.
This has been interesting trying out different techniques and methods with this shot.
More to follow.I have enjoyed the editing but at the moment prefer the natural colour version.

1/100s f/10.0 at 10.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Fabulous in B&W, sharp image!!

I have no problem with the DOF, the regression of focus actually gives a more 3D quality to the image. This is a great image for putting on a wall, I would have it!

Lo-o-OVE this!!!!! I think it would be interesting to see it with full sharpness from "front to back," but I really do like the existing DOF, too. I like the b/w tonalities better than the color, too. It's stunning!! :-)

This one is cool too! I am a bit liking the one in color though. However, this would really look good on a wall!

Thanks for the feedback, yes it would be better with the 3 rear facing arms sharper , I do intend to try again this time with a tripod. It was a struggle for light hand held
and F10 was the best I could get. I am not sure how high an iso can go without loss of sharpness.
Thanks again for the constructive comment.

Superb graphic art!!! I love the contrast and subtle tonality you have retained. Also, your choice of focus point is absolutely spot on, however this type image works best with everything in focus from from to back...the rear branch is soft, I wonder if f16 or f22 might have given the DoF to render it all sharp? IMHO of course!!
