Tashilhunpo Monastery, Shigatse


Meaning "heap of glory", Tashilhunpo Monastery is the seat of the Panchen Lama (the second most important figure after the Dalai Lama in Gelukpa Buddhism).
Pilgrims circumambulate the monastery on the sacred Lingkor path outside the monastery walls.

A very interesting place to visit with great atmosphere.
You will have to pay to take photographs in each of the many rooms.
