I sometimes get into a zone when in the middle of shooting images as I did here.We had made a trip to the landfill to get rid of rotten deckboards I had replaced and of course I had my camera at my side.When I saw this mass of seagulls in a frenzy around the mounds of garbage I thought it could make for an interesting shot.I was told after by the person with me that while I was taking the shot I was being stared at by the fellow next to us .He had a look that said "are you nuts....taking pictures at the stinky dump?"LOL
It is unfortunate you don't have smellovision available here....it really was a gross smell.....
