Some of the amazing bird life of the Kruger. Visit November to February for the best experience; birds are breeding and many summer migrants are present.

I am using the order found in most modern bird guides. I personally recommend the Roberts books and amazing app for android and apple - pictures, photos and sounds. One of the best apps I have seen.
The value of having a guide to the calls of birds cannot be over emphasized.

A few years ago some of the English language names were changed, mostly so those selling books on birds could sell another edition! Some I have accepted but a small number were ridiculous. Grey lourie becoming the go-away bird for instance!
