February also ends with my first sighting of raccoon prints this year. Unlike bears and groundhogs, raccoons are active during the winter, however they do end up sleeping much of it away. It appears that the unseasonably mild weather of late has waken them up. I also know by virtue of the sense of smell that skunks have become active again!
