1981 - First Year

The newly formed Southwest Wisconsin auto club hosted the 7th Annual Car Fest and Swap Meet on September 13, 1981, during Platteville's annual Dairy Day program. Previously the car show was hosted by the Platteville Chamber of Commerce. The show exceeded all expectations with over 260 vehicles on display for show and competition, and approximately 2,000 spectators in attendance.
