Lightning
First time I have captured such a round ball of lightning.
Converted to B&W in Photoshop
View is at Akers Pond, Errol, New Hampshire

I sent the photo to NOAA, this is their response
Thank you for contacting NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory! Sorry it took us so long to respond! Thanks for sending such a great photo!
We reached out to our scientists and this was their response: "Beautiful! It is a little hard to tell from the picture if the upper and lower portions of the flash are connected horizontally or vertically. If they are connected mostly vertically, it may be a very lucky picture or what most intracloud flashes - those flashes that do not connect to the ground -look like when there is not too much cloud obscuring the view. Lightning flashes connect two regions of opposite charge. Most flashes remain within a single cloud, but sometimes the ground provides one half and sometimes another cloud provides one half. We can record the full path of an individual flash with some scientific instruments but only rarely do we get to see it visually!"
