Spotted Northern Flicker as above picture - female with a little red on head. Manchester NH. She is staying in a small dense wooded area that holds oak, maple and pine trees. Also have downy woodpeckers in same area that have used seed feeder and suet feeder. Will Flicker do the same. Her size is about the size of a male Downy perhaps a little larger, closer in size to a Mourning Dove. Could it be a Northern Flicker and will it remain here through the fall and winter. Best food?
