Kirklandish SP

Friday 30th September 2005 - Day 286

I'm trying a bit of cop... learning from the masters at the moment. Last Friday's SP was based on some of Karsh's work - although I have a looooong way to go. This week, I'm trying to emulate Michael Caine, by Douglas Kirkland, taken in 1963. I can't find an example of the exact picture, but Douglas Kirkland's web site is at http://www.douglaskirkland.com/

And yes, I know there are loose hairs everywhere!

Hope this is not as scary as last nights beastie...

Impressive SP ... color balance is spot on... the clean white background is amazing. Never knew about Kirkland til now ... he's talented also. Thanks for that link.

Very nicely done. Excellent crisp detail. You look very elegant. I spent half an hour on the Kirkland web site. What an inspiration!

The serious ;) I don't think I ever saw the original but this works. White balance is very nice! (grumble... it takes forever to get the comment function to work)
