Icons of the Canadian Prairie

Southern Alberta

The grain elevator is the classic Canadian icon that is sadly disappearing from the prairie provinces.
There are very few grain elevators left these days. Many of the aging structures have been knocked
down and destroyed due to liability concerns.

These two grain elevators are located at Wrentham, Alberta. The day was hot and bright, your typical
prairie summer day.

Fast disappearing? Well composed to show the surrounding area and flatness of the terrain. V!

Wow. I can't be there so admiring places like these from "far away" will have to do. I want to step inside.
