As stunning as these photos are, Kylie is even more beautiful in person. She is becoming an excellent dancer. Mr. Calmes' skill is exceptional.

Hehehe, American Ballet! Here comes the master, the modern day legend of ballet photography. There may be some good photographers out there but none are quite as exceptional as Mr Calmes. The prime ambassador of the art, the man who claims to photograph only the best but we all know that he has photographed anyone who has devoted their time to dance. It would not come as much of a surprise to know that anyone photographed by Mr Calmes will have acquired a legendary status through his work.

Thanks Richard, for sharing your route to fame, from the Vietnam war to one of the world's greatest ballet photographers, it is an honour to be able to admire your work on the other side of the Atlantic.

Incredible. I cannot take my eyes off those feet and toes and the claw like "grip" where there is no grip. What a gallery.

I can see why this is one is one of your favorites....technically and artistically on the money. How many takes were needed to get this shot? I also noticed in the video that your images were popping up on the laptop in real time. I would like to have this capability. Job well done!

A classic, with all the elements at the top of their game. You have grace, beauty and surprise striking a similar feeling to viewing an intense sunrise or glacial vista. The more you stare the more awakened your senses become. Quite a shot Richard. Who came up with the concept? Just awe inspiring - g

Imbued with fire, emotion and a beautiful grace.
I love the way the white garment appears about to sweep this mischievous
angel off her feet and into the ethers. By the look of strength and
defiance, I am sure she will return with new triumphs.

Really one of my favorites. Voted of course. I hope you get some rest
tonight. You are such a man on a mission (a very laudable one!) that
I wonder when you eat and sleep.
Vote as always...hugs&smiles, cristine
