We were thrilled recently when we had tiny Red - Browed Finches visit our garden for the first time. There are at least a dozen and they have been visiting us each day

Beautiful birds and so nicely backed by the dainty leaves of that tree. Reminds me of the zebra finches I cage bred many years ago. Some friends who were teachers and off for the summer asked if i would keep their finches while they traveled. I was delighted when eggs appeared. When they returned the babies were still in the nest snd i refused to return them until thr emerged. It was a fascinating experience. I prefer to see birds in the wild where they belong.
