Patagonia: Cerro Fitz Roy

Patagonia, Chile view map

One of the most difficult climbs in the world, Fitz Roy is on the border of Argentina and Chile. This photo shows the more rarely seen western face (3,340 meters, 10,958 feet tall) of the mountain(s).

This is a huge improvement on the original RAW image and a slight improvement of my previous attempt.

One of the most frustrating photos I've ever worked with. It's almost really nice image, but was taken from 30,000 feet through a LOT of atmosphere and I've never been able to get it to look like I want - I'll give up on improving this one and concentrate on saving money for another trip there :-)

Beautiful shot. The light is perfect.

Hard to believe it was taken from a plane. You did a good job, I wouldn't have noticed it.
