Bad Ideas Draped in Flags

Washington DC

"Diversity is a Disease, Unity the Cure" -- One of the many truly depressing signs that I saw being carried in DC yesterday. Others included lovely sentiments like:

"I'd Rather be......(some logo I'm not familiar with) Waterboarding Obama"
"We the People, Want our Country Back" (based on the make up of the protesting crowd there was little doubt of who the "People" getting the country should be)

In my opinion the only thing scarier than some of these people marching around DC with this type of sign, is the thought of these same people never putting their bigoted hateful thoughts on a placard and showing them to us.

It is an unfortunate sign; even if it means something positive (like E Pluribus Unum) it isn't immediately obvious to a layman and looks xenophobic. I think it is inevitable, though, when such a large group with no central management or planning holds an event like this.
The vast majority of signs that I saw were critical of policy, and stuck to that. From what I saw, there were more 'Don't Tread On Me' flags than anything else.

I think what she was trying to say is that division is antithetical to E Plurbus Unum; and that free individuals, united by a common recognition of self-evident truth's, is preferable to balkanization and division.

She looks very odd to me! one of a kind idiot!

E Plurubus Unum = Diversity is a disease needing to be cured?

Wow! That's either an incredibly disingenuous argument or (maybe much more frightening) honest Radovan Karadžić type logic.

E Plurbus Unum

From Many, One

It's written right on the top of the capitol building.
